Tremors

Val and Earl (played by Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward) grow tired of their isolated existence in the town of Perfection—population 14—and decide to ship off to greener pastures, but some rather large invertebrates foil their plans.  Gigantic, underground pre-historic worms begin to terrorize the small town and Val and Earl must stop them from eating everyone and everything that's left.  Probably the only time we'll have Reba McEntire on screen during our midnight series, the film also features Michael Gross (from Family Ties!) as a paranoid separatist with an impressive arsenal of weapons that helps to fight off the Graboids.  Tons of great one-liners and scenes of people running from giant worms, this one is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat and your feet off the ground!  1990, 96 min.
