Tom Reney, host of NEPM's Jazz à la Mode, joins us to introduce the film.

When two Paris nightclub jazz players (Paul Newman and Sidney Poitier) meet two vacationing American beauties (Joanne Woodward and Diahann Carroll), their passion for music is suddenly challenged by their desire for love.

This romantic drama, shot on location in Paris, features a score by Duke Ellington and a supporting appearance by Louis Armstrong as trumpeter "Wild Man" Moore.
